Functions of the Planning Branch

• Formulation of the Policies based on “Vision of Prosperity” Government policy framework and Sustainable Development Goals in short to long term and designing programs on the subjects under the scope of the Ministry.

• Provide guidelines to Prepare the Project Action Plans of the affiliates Institutes of the Ministry and introduce structural changes to build up the People-Centered Economy while promoting and uplifting the capacities on the optimum level in the Coconut, Kithul, and Palmyrah sector by prioritizing projects, programs required to achieve national targets.

• Coordinating and monitoring the projects and affiliates Institutes to achieve the desired targets and achieved the expected output of the projects and continuous evaluation to ensure the projects to achieving the desired outcome and diminish obstacles.

• Preparation of Reports to ensure transparency for all stakeholders and general related to commitments and functions of the Ministry.

• Coordinating the progress of the Rural Economic Development Programs, PSTF on the Rural Development Committees.
